Fantasy Reading Challenge 2010

Posted by Storm Etin in , , , , , , ,

Today, I came across an article at A Haunt of Ancient Peace in which a competition to read fantasy books was explained. With a New Year just around the corner wouldn't it be great to read just one more book than last year? That's what this competition aims to do, read as many fantasy books as possible, of course the number one on my list is The Ragged Man. Although I am hoping on getting Peter Brett's Painted Man for Christmas so I will also add this to my list. Below is a list of the rules to the competition. Do you think you're a true fantasy reader?

Challenge Guidelines:
1. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.
--Non-Bloggers: Include your information in the comment section.

2. There are four levels:

-- Curious – Read 3 Fantasy Fiction novels.

-- Fascinated – Read 6 Fantasy Fiction novels.

-- Addicted – Read 12 Fantasy Fiction novels.

-- Obsessed – Read 20 Fantasy Fiction novels.

3. Any book format counts.

4. You can list your books in advance or just put them in a wrap up post. If you list them, feel free to change them as the mood takes you.

5. Challenge begins January 1st thru December, 2010. Only books started on January 1st count towards this challenge.

Here is my current list:

  1. The Ragged Man by Tom Lloyd
  2. The Painted Man by Peter Brett
  3. Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie
Obviously, I am also re-reading Tom Lloyd's books, but these are my top three for 2010. What does your list look like?
